The Roving Party by Rohan Wilson – I did know the basic story of what happened to the Tasmanian Aborigines but I was shocked by the details in this book. It is a truly horrific tale and I found parts difficult to read.
The White Tiger by Aravind Adiga – I hope I never meet the White Tiger. The whole idea or concept of this book is intriguing. I do hope that Premier Wen Jiabao has managed to read this book.
Caleb’s Crossing by Geraldine Brooks – two stories in one; it is Bethia’s story and it is Bethia telling Caleb’s story. In some ways, it is more Bethia’s story but I guess Caleb’s story is more marketable and selling Bethia’s Crossing may not have been as easy.
