Catch 22 by Joseph Heller has to be one of my all time favourite books. I love it. I first read it for my Year 12 English course back in 1984. And every so often, I read it again just for the pleasure of having Yossarian back in my life for a short time. The characters always amaze me. The extravagance of the satire never fails to make me laugh. I’m sure I’ll read it again and again and again. Thank you Mr Heller.
The Box by Gunter Grass – I started this book unintentionally on the day Gunter Grass died. Not one of his best books but an interesting insight into him as a parent. I will read some of his other books again.
