Lake Menindee

Here it is, Lake Menindee full to the brim. A wondrous sight in the middle of nowhere – well, about 100km from Broken Hill. It is not full that often but it is this year. And we’ve been to see it.

As we often do on our trips, we take a floating lotus flower candle for Clea and find a quiet, peaceful place to float it out for her. We are not usually very successful with our candle endeavours. In Tasmania, the candles rapidly floated down the Ross River sinking as they went. There was little breeze and no current in Menindee but we still couldn’t seem to keep our candle afloat.

Today, we have lived 148 weeks without Clea.
